The existing building is listed in the Victorian Heritage Register and was first constructed as factory premises in 1909 for use in manufacturing safety matches by the firm Bryant and May, Bell and Co. Pty Ltd.
This circa 120 year old building was regenerated to provide 10,000sq/m of A Grade Commercial Office space for single tenant Red Energy.
SRS designed, engineered, procured and installed the mechanical system which included extensive consultation with the clients design team to honour the grand form of this historic building. Initially targeting 4.5 star NABERS rating, the building almost achieved 5.5 stars in its first full year of assessable operation.
The SRS service team continue to maintain the building and tune the system to improve efficiency outcomes and to further improve the NABERS rating.
